I’ve been writing Yellow Days since 2011 now which seems a very long time. It’s certainly longer than I’ve stuck with many hobbies, especially ones I started so completely randomly.
During that time I’ve written about things to do in Oslo, Chinese New Year crafts and even a Chocolate Orange Fudge Recipe. Quite a diverse range of topics , hey?
I think it has been this opportunity to write about whatever I liked that has allowed me to keep up Yellow Days for so long. While to start with I tried to be structured and have a plan, life often got in the way and there would be periods of time where I just blogged whenever and whatever I felt like.
I’d be sharing a bat cut out template one day followed by a kladdkaka recipe or spend an hour gathering together my favourite modern christening gifts for girls before moving on to things to do in York with kids or how to create a Mediterranean garden.
So remember when you’re suffering a bit of blogger’s block you can always try throwing the plan out of the window and just try writing whatever takes your fancy. Who know’s where it will take you!
